PADI Instructor Development Course – December 2021

Full IDC Course running every day from the 30th November till the 9th December to prepare you for the PADI Instructor Exams that take place on 11th and 12th December in Leicestershire.
Course Details:
The IDC teaches you to conduct all PADI core courses. You’ll be able to organize and present information, conduct skill development sessions and control open water dives. Basically, you become a better public speaker and get really good at demonstrating skills while watching out for student diver safety. Key topics include:
- PADI Standards and Procedures for courses you can teach with in water workshops.
- Learning, Instruction and the PADI System.
- Risk Management and Diver Safety.
- The Business of Diving and your role as an instructor.
- Marketing Diving and Sales Counselling.
IDC Preparation
Meet the Course Director and staff as well as completing any last-minute paperwork.
Review the five theory topics that you covered during your IDC eLearning and have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have on these subjects.
You will also complete a skill circuit to refresh the 24 skills from the PADI Divemaster.
Instructor Development Course (IDC)
PADI Assistant Instructor Course (AI)
Receive an introduction to the PADI System and learn how to conduct knowledge development presentations, confined water and open water presentations. Each section includes presentations by you and your Course Director or Staff Instructors. There are also workshop discussions.
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (OWSI)
You will apply what you learned in the AI, to all PADI courses via a mix of knowledge development, confined water and open water sessions. For every programme and course that an instructor can conduct, you will learn how to conduct and promote them, and the standards that apply. You will also discuss general standards, risk management and business principles.
